Those who have visited our home know that we have a perfectly adequate kitchen. It’s large by the standard of the houses in our neighborhood and large enough to fit our needs. Lately, though, we’ve been trying to keep the house tidy on a regular basis and have been more and more bothered by having “stuff” on our counters. We decided to finally get a functioning over-the-range microwave. The mounting brackets you see on the "before" picture (below) have been there since we moved in and inherited a microwave from Marc and Angi. Unfortunately, it fried itself after about a year, so we've just kept the brackets hoping that someday we'd get around to replacing it. We finally bought a new microwave (the cheapest we could get at Home Depot), only to get it home and discover that it only mounts underneath a cabinet. After some more research, we decided to purchase the cupboard as well. Josh Carter, our "family electrician," worked four hours yesterday and two today to get the plug installed and also hang the cupboard and microwave for us. It probably would have taken us a week. We're very grateful to have it done and creating more space. Yeah for organization!

It looks awesome! Good job!
