Yeah, I finally relented. We ultimately decided it was too feminine for a macho Pelissie boy to be named "Treasure", although I still love both "Tresor" and "Tre". Alas! Matthieu's petit nom (nickname) might still end up being something mushy like that. :)
"Tres" in french means "very" in english. I found out that in middle english "Trey" meant "three" so that was another pull for the name. Anyway, we're happy with "Matt." :)
Wife of "Superman", Mommy of 3, Volunteer with Reach the Children, Undergraduate of BYU, Former world traveler, Black Belt in Karate, Violinist, Pianist, Vibraphonist, Vocalist, Runner, Walker, Hiker, Errand-runner... I guess we can sum me up with the phrase, "trying to do better." I'm trying to live by my motto of UNDER COMMIT, OVER PERFORM. :)
J'aime beaucoup ces deux prenoms!!
ReplyDeleteGreat name! Can't wait to see him!
ReplyDeleteI love that name, especially the Alexandre part-no Tre? That's ok though, this name is awesome too! You guys have such darling boys:)

ReplyDeleteLove the name. So about your last comment, doesn't tre mean 3 in french? So mom will be "#2" and Mattieu will be "#3" with their nicknames. ;)
