Why I'm Keeping a Blog

I wrote the following email to Angi Pelissie on Nov. 4th. She said it would be ok to post it here. Be sure to check out their blog if you haven't already (link on the left).

"I came home early from church today because I didn't want Niko tospread his cough at nursery. As I was doing some initial entries onour blog, I decided to listen to a talk I missed during GeneralConference, the one by President Eyring. Several people havementioned what a wonderful talk it was, so I was trying to catch up.You probably remember that he talks about the importance of writing inour journals and looking for the hand of God in our lives. We canremember God, and avoid forgetting Him, when we record our feelingsand experiences. It reminded me about a conversation I had with Kikocouple of weeks ago. It's the reason I decided to finally do a blog.I just wanted to share it with you. I told Kiko that I really admiredhow you had made such an effort to record fun things with your family, specifically with Ollie and Baz. I said something like, "You know, honey, obviously it would be extremely tragic if something happen toAng, like a fatal car accident or something, but if she died tomorrow, her kids would have something very tangible that would testify to themof her love for them. No one could mistake how much she loves herkids. I want to do the same for our kids." Thank you for being sucha good mom, a great auntie, and a friend. Just wanted to let you knowthat your good example is something I'm trying to emulate. Thanks."
