Christmas Tree Hunt

It has become a Pelissie family tradition to cut down our Christmas tree. The whole process starts at the beginning of November, buying our $10 tree permit. Angi and I have done this without kids for the last couple years and really enjoyed our "girls morning out" this year.

Thursday, December 4th, we headed out for the family adventure. We felt very grateful for our comfy vehicle. We had 3.5 excited boys (including Sunny and an active little Matt). Papa and Maman really enjoyed their heated seats during the drive. :)

We began with lunch in Heber at Dairy Keen,
a.k.a. the Train Restaurant. We were so pleased
with how much Niko ate of his chicken fingers.

Sam enjoyed himself, too.

Both boys loved seeing the train pass by us as we ate.

Then the boys loved playing with the trains, too.

Even though there was no snow in the valley,
we found a gorgeous dusting in the mountains.

Dressed for snow!

First time in snow boots for Sammy

I wish you could see the glee on Sam's face.
He loved being pulled in the sleds.

Niko followed Ollie's lead of making some snowballs.

Baz loved the snow, too.

What a strong guy!

This is the 30 seconds of stopped motion for the doggies. They joyfully tromped around the entire time. We realized that the first time we cut down our trees in 2004, Ollie was 3 months old and we had 4 dogs with us. This time, 4 years later, we went to almost the same spot, but with 2 dogs and 4 kids. :)Angi packing Baz :)

Ton ton Marc

Walking through the trees was simply magical

Ang, Chris, and I continued the hunt.

Ollie also enjoyed a turn hanging out in our car
watching Mulan while the Papas tied down the trees.

Success!

What a gorgeous day we were given!

Thanks for such a great day, guys!
