I had some shopping to do in Park City the second week in June. I was able to make it through by using the effective bribes of "biscuits" or "petits gateaux" (cookies).

When I was on study abroad in Paris in '98, I was able to take a short trip to St. Petersburg, Russia. I brought home this matryoshka doll for Grandma. It's really fun to play with it now with my boys. I'll have to take some better pictures of it. The hand-painted design is still impressive to me and I am still amazed that there are 10 dolls that fit together when the largest one isn't much bigger than my fist.
