Wild Flowering

Sunday, Amber, Chris, the kids and I went back up to the Ranch for a little more time with Huefners. We found out that they had planned a drive up Soapstone to look at the wild flowers, so we made it up in time to join them.

You can see why these are called "bluebells"
From the Jeep, Grandma looked up
several flowers from wild flower books.

One of Niko's current favorite movies is the Sound of Music. This particular spot brought to mind "the hills are alive..."
I love this picture.
Stunning views along Duchesne Ridge

We all made it back in one piece. :)
The boys love the swing set at Grandparents' house.
Swings are even better with play mates!
Darling. Two darlings.
Sam just adores Grandma. He kept
coming back to her lap for more bites.

No, Emmy is not that tall. She is tall,
but here she's kneeling on a stool.

This is on our way home on the south side of Deer Creek Reservoir. I remember going to this picnic spot and launching a boat into the water here. Since then, the water has always been so low that it wouldn't even be marshy for hundreds of meters. This year, the water is really high.

Spoils... and practicing taking pictures...

Thanks for such fun memories!
